Why Can't We Use a CNG Vehicle For a Heavy Load?

Compressed natural gas (CNG) is a cleaner and more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fuels like gasoline and diesel. However, there are some limitations to using CNG vehicles for heavy loads, and these limitations are primarily related to the properties of natural gas and the way it is stored and used in vehicles.

Lower Energy Density:

Higher Conversion Costs:

Converting a heavy-duty vehicle to run on CNG can also be more expensive than converting a lighter vehicle, due to the need for larger fuel tanks and specialized engine components. This can make it cost-prohibitive to switch to CNG for heavy loads.
